AEW, NJPW, ROH, and CMLL are slated to host Wrestle Dynasty on January 5, 2025, at the Tokyo Dome in Tokyo, Japan, the night after NJPW’s Wrestle Kingdom 19. This marks the first AEW pay-per-view event in Japan.
Fans can expect to see Jon Moxley’s influence on the card. The AEW World Heavyweight Champion has issued a warning. He popped up on the NJPW Fighting Spirit Unleashed video wall after Shota Umino and Tomohiro Ishii defeated Bad Dude Tito and Zack Sabre Jr.
Following the bout, Moxley appeared via video, cutting a promo about how he would be sending an emissary to face him on January 5 at NJPW x AEW Wrestle Dynasty. Moxley wants to continue molding Umino into the champion he knows he can be, leading to Umino responding, “Fuck you” toward MOX.
Umino is preparing to challenge Zack Sabre Jr. for the IWGP World Title at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 19 on January 4th. For Moxley, he will make his next title defense as the AEW World Heavyweight Champion against Orange Cassidy at Full Gear later this month.
