Jon Moxley may have suffered a concussion during AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door match

Jon Moxley walked out of the AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door pay-per-view event as the interim AEW World Heavyweight Champion when he beat Hiroshi Tanahashi in the main event.

It was a hard-hitting bout that led to Moxley being busted open shortly after performing a sling blade.

During today’s Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that Moxley mentioned in his post-match promo while still in the ring that he may have suffered a concussion.

“Moxley mentioned in a post-match interview, he was covered with blood, and he said he might have been concussed, too, which, hopefully, that’s not the case because that’s the last thing they need is another concussion especially leading into Wednesday’s Blood & Guts because Moxley’s obviously a key part of that match. He did say that off the air.”

If Moxley did suffer the injury then he won’t likely be cleared in time for the Blood & Guts match that will see Jericho Appreciation Society (Chris Jericho, Daniel Garcia, Jake Hager, Sammy Guevara, Matt Menard & Angelo Parker) facing off against Eddie Kingston, Moxley, Santana, Ortiz, Wheeler Yuta, and Claudio Castagnoli.

As previously reported, Adam Cole suffered a concussion at this show.
