Jon Moxley to face former UFC Heavyweight Champion at Bloodsport III event

Even though their first match didn’t happen last year, the bout has been scheduled yet again.

Jon Moxley vs. Josh Barnett is slated to take place at Barnett’s Bloodsport III over WrestleMania week at The Cuban Club in Tampa, Florida on Thursday, April 2.

Their original match was slated to take place at Barnett’s Bloodsport II in September 2019, which would’ve served as the headliner.

However, due to Moxley dealing with the MRSA infection he had in his elbow, he had to pull out. It also led to him pulling out of his scheduled match against Kenny Omega at All Out.

At the time, Moxley sent a message to Barnett where he noted they’re “gonna get this one back” after their original match fell through. As a result, Barnett got a replacement opponent that saw him defeat Chris Dickinson at Barnett’s Bloodsport II.

Matches are hybrid MMA/pro wrestling style where the ring has no ropes, and can only be won by knockout or submission.
