Kamille Wrestled Her First Match In Several Months Amid AEW Reports

Kamille has returned to the ring after being on a lengthy and notable hiatus following her departure from the NWA.

Kamille, a regular in the NWA since October 2018, had been expected to join WWE and work in NXT. Things changed after she was backstage at the January 18th Dynamite event where she was visiting.

It was later reported that the former NWA Women’s Champion was no longer expected to be WWE-bound, and AEW was the likely landing spot as they would also allow her to pursue her acting goal, with Fightful reporting earlier this year that she had indeed signed with AEW.

At past media scrums, AEW President Tony Khan Khan stated that he considered Kamille a great free agent and thought she would be a good fit for the company. Kamille previously noted on Twitter that she had been signed since February but didn’t say with which promotion. AEW has yet to make the signing official.

Lucha Libre Online reports the former NWA World Women’s Champion returned to the ring for the first time since last November. She did so on June 16, when she competed for Robles Promotions in Mexico.
