Kenny Omega addressed the changes to the Full Gear card, specifically the absence of Andrade El Idolo, who was “sidelined” from the event. Speaking on Shak Wrestling, Omega remained positive about his colleague’s future.
“To see him back in AEW, was a happy moment for me, because I felt that he really wanted to be there and do well,” Omega said. Regarding the change in plans, he added, “So now that it’s been sidelined for a little bit, I can imagine that when he comes back, you still have the same amount of motivation.”.
Omega emphasized the reality of the business. “You have to pivot. You have to show must go on. This is the way it is… You have to take the lemon sometimes, and begrudgingly, make lemonade.”
