AEW and Impact World Heavyweight Champion Kenny Omega has been an active wrestler as he’s been working for three promotions – All Elite Wrestling, Impact, and AAA.
That comes at a price as Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Omega is hurting pretty badly these days.
Omega sliced up his hand that resulted in him needing seven stitches. It happened when he hit PAC with the title during the triple threat match at AEW Double Or Nothing that also featured Orange Cassidy. He also has a deep bone bruise near his tailbone, the normal wear and tear on his knees, and an athletic hernia.
In addition to his injuries, Omega had a stomach virus this past week. Meltzer had a note from the fan fest that took place the day before Double Or Nothing where Omega said there are days he wakes up and walks around where he thinks maybe he’s close to the time to hang it up because of his body is feeling worse.
It was added that having real fans in the building while working makes him feel a lot better.
Omega will defend the Impact World Title against Moose at Saturday’s Against All Odds show before defending the AEW World Title against Jungle Boy on the June 26th edition of Dynamite.
