Sunday’s AEW WrestleDream pay-per-view event featured several top stars in action, such as MJF retaining the ROH Tag Team Titles over The Righteous, Bryan Danielson beating Zach Sabre Jr., and Darby Allin coming up short of Christian Cage for the TNT Title in a two out of three falls match.
Another top match was Will Ospreay, Konosuke Takeshita, and Sammy Guevara, beating Kenny Omega, Kota Ibushi, and Chris Jericho in a trios match.
This marked yet another loss for Omega as the former AEW World Heavyweight Champion extended his pay-per-view losing streak to six.
According to CageMatch.net, Omega’s losing streak started at Revolution when The Elite lost the Trios Titles to House of Black before the second defeat happened at Double or Nothing 2023 when Blackpool Combat Club (Bryan Danielson, Claudio Castagnoli, Jon Moxley & Wheeler Yuta) defeat The Elite (Adam Page, Kenny Omega, Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson) in the Anarchy In The Arena. The third defeat happened when Omega lost the IWGP United States Title to Will Ospreay at Forbidden Door.
At All In, Bullet Club Gold beat The Golden Elite. A week later, Omega put over Takeshita in his fifth straight PPV loss.
