Kenny Omega offers critical opinion on WWE Network airing EVOLVE show opposite of AEW event

Kenny Omega sounded off on WWE announcing the news that their streaming service, WWE Network, would air the upcoming EVOLVE 10th Anniversary show on July 13th. This is the same night as AEW Fight for the Fallen. Both events will stream live at the same time.

With WWE airing this show on the same night as AEW’s charity show, it upset Omega, who posted the following on his official Twitter account:

“If lining your pockets with blood money is okay, then what’s wrong with trying to undermine a charity show for victims of gun violence? I hear that healthy competition is supposed to be a good thing and yet I can’t help but feel like I’m gonna be sick.”

Omega has deleted his original tweet. He would follow up with this tweet:

“I’ve said my piece and it opened the door to a very toxic environment. It wasn’t a message to fans, or the boys, just the decision makers. I wish everyone wrestling on any show that day all the best. That is all.”

AEW’s charity event will see the proceeds be donated to victims of gun violence. Here is the updated card:

Brandi Rhodes vs. Allie

Kenny Omega vs. Cima

Cody and Dustin Rhodes vs. The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson)
