Kenny Omega will not work the October 15th AAA TripleMania XXX: Mexico City show.
On Konnan’s ‘Keeping It 100′ podcast‘, Konnan confirmed that Omega was set to headline the event, but because of his AEW suspension, he is unable to do so.
“Omega was gonna headline Triplemania and [AEW] won’t let him go,” Konnan said.
Konnan added that both Omega and AEW head of talent relations Christopher Daniels said he would not be able to make the event.
As previously noted, Omega, The Young Bucks, CM Punk, and Ace Steel have all been suspended from AEW following a backstage brawl at the AEW All Out pay-per-view-view event earlier this month. This was after Punk ripped Colt Cabana, The Bucks, and Hangman Page.
AEW quickly stripped Punk of the World Title and The Elite of the Trios Titles. A recent photo of Omega over in Japan shows the bite mark that Omega received in the fight, allegedly from Steel.
