Kenny Omega is set to make his first appearance on AEW Dynamite since May, appearing live next Wednesday in Clarksville, Tennessee.
The announcement was made during tonight’s Fight for the Fallen edition of Dynamite. Omega’s last appearance on the show was in May when he confronted Kazuchika Okada and was subsequently taken out of action in storyline by The Elite (Okada, The Young Bucks, and Jack Perry).
Omega made a surprise return at last Saturday’s Worlds End pay-per-view, confronting Okada and presenting him with the Continental title belt. A match date has not yet been announced.
Before his Dynamite return, Omega will compete against Gabe Kidd at Wrestle Dynasty in Tokyo, Japan, this weekend. This marks his first in-ring action since December 2023, following a period of recovery from multiple injuries and a serious bout of diverticulitis.
Also scheduled for next Wednesday’s Dynamite is a Casino Gauntlet match, with the winner earning an AEW World title shot on the January 15th episode.
