Kenny Omega says he is not medically cleared after wild match at AEW Full Gear

Kenny Omega and Jon Moxley had people talking about their wild match over the weekend.

Moxley beat Omega in a non-sanctioned lights out match at Saturday’s (November 9, 2019) AEW Full Gear pay-per-view event from the Royal Farms Arena in Baltimore, Maryland.

This wasn’t a typical match with Omega, who is known to put on classic pure wrestling matches. It was more extreme than his match with Joey Janela a few weeks ago on AEW’s secondary program, Dark, which had a hardcore gimmick.

These guys went all out to bring back the deathmatch type style of wrestling where they used broken glass, barbwire and even a board with mousetraps.

As a result, Omega isn’t medically cleared yet from that match. He took to his official Twitter account where he shared the news.

Thus, while he’ll likely make an appearance on this week’s episode of Dynamite on TNT, he won’t be wrestling unless cleared. He wrote the following:

"I lost and doctors won't clear me for TV. The problem is that you left me alive and I'll be back. I win. #AEWFullGear #AEW."
