Kenny Omega suffers shocking defeat in his first match since Wrestle Kingdom

Former IWGP Heavyweight Champion Kenny Omega suffered a shocking loss to a surprising name on Saturday night at a PCW event in Winnipeg.

He worked a 6-man tag match with Don Callis as one of his opponents. Since Callis turned on Omega back in October 2018, the two stars have built up a rivalry in the promotion. In the match, Callis, who hadn’t worked a match in about 15 years, scored a pinfall victory over Omega when he hit a codebreaker.

This marked Omega’s first match since losing the IWGP Heavyweight Championship to Hiroshi Tanahashi at Wrestle Kingdom 13 in January.

Omega is slated to take on Chris Jericho at AEW Double or Nothing, which will serve as the headliner of the show. The event goes down on May 25th at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Here is the updated card for Double or Nothing:

Kenny Omega vs. Chris Jericho
