Kenny Omega, who has not wrestled since December 2023 after being diagnosed with diverticulitis and undergoing surgery, is back. He worked his first match against Gabe Kidd at Wrestle Dynasty on January 5.
Omega ended up winning the match after a kamigoye and the One-winged Angel. Omega’s last match was on the December 5, 2023 edition of Collision, defeating Ethan Page.
Omega has not regularly been on the road with AEW this year due to diverticulitis. Omega returned to AEW programming at Worlds End to present the Continental title to Continental Classic winner Kazuchika Okada, teasing a future match between the two at All In: Texas.
Omega will be appearing on Wednesday’s Dynamite.
