Kyle Fletcher didn’t just leave AEW Grand Slam Australia as the TNT Champion; he revealed a brand-new look for the title. Following the main event of the February 14 broadcast from the Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney, Fletcher debuted a customized TNT Championship featuring a pink strap.
Fletcher had successfully retained the gold earlier in the night against Mark Briscoe in a high-stakes ladder match. After the conclusion of the match, the “Protostar” returned to the ring with the redesigned championship in hand. Standing before his home-country crowd, he revealed the updated belt and shared his enthusiasm for the new aesthetic.
“It’s finally pink!” Fletcher said.
Solidifying The Reign
Fletcher regained the TNT Championship on the February 11 edition of AEW Dynamite, defeating Tommaso Ciampa in Ontario, California. His victory over Briscoe in Sydney solidified his second reign with the title, and the custom belt allows him to put a personal stamp on the championship.
The TNT Championship has a long-standing history of champions adding their own creative flair to the design. Former champions such as Miro, Darby Allin, and Cody Rhodes have all introduced custom versions of the belt during their respective reigns.
