AEW TNT Champion Kyle Fletcher has shared his thoughts on WWE’s recent strategy of counter-programming AEW’s pay-per-view events. Throughout 2025, WWE has consistently scheduled its NXT premium live events on the same days as AEW pay-per-views. This month, the competition will escalate as WWE will run its first-ever Wrestlepalooza premium live event on Saturday, September 20, the same date as AEW’s All Out.
Speaking with Good Karma Wrestling, Fletcher was asked for his thoughts on the counter-programming. “Man, I think it’s good business practice from the other team. I think they’re trying to squash us,” he said. “But, for me, it puts a chip on my shoulder.”
He explained that the direct competition only serves as motivation for him to deliver a great performance in his main event match against “Hangman” Adam Page for the AEW World Championship. “I know that this Saturday, we have competition and my goal is to go out there and have one of the greatest professional wrestling matches of all time, so that people go, oh, nothing comes even close to that, nothing comes close to AEW pay-per-views,” he stated. “So, yeah, that’s all it is. It lights a fire under me. All I wanna do is go out there and do the best that I absolutely can so I can squish the other guys, you know what I mean?”
Fletcher is currently the reigning TNT Champion and a member of the Don Callis Family. His match against “Hangman” Adam Page will be his first one-on-one opportunity for the company’s top prize. The All Out pay-per-view will air at the start time of 3 p.m. ET to avoid a direct overlap with WWE’s Wrestlepalooza.
The decision to move the show was a strategic one by AEW to give fans the opportunity to watch both events. The full interview with Kyle Fletcher can be heard on the Good Karma Wrestling podcast.
