Lance Archer injured after landing on his head after a moonsault off the top rope

Lance Archer appeared to be badly hurt during his AEW World Title tournament match against Eddie Kingston.

Late in the match, Archer attempted a moonsault off the top rope but Kingston moved and Archer landed on his head. The referee and Doc Sampson checked on Archer by ringside as it looked like the match was about to be called off.

Archer opted to roll back in the ring and Kingston quickly rolled him up for the pin. Doc Sampson checked on Archer again after the match was over. We don’t know how severe his injury is but it was bad enough that he wasn’t able to immediately get back up on his feet.

Hopefully, he makes a speedy recovery.
