Lance Archer to make AEW in-ring debut on next Wednesday’s Dynamite

Just weeks after making his promotional debut, Lance Archer is slated to make his AEW in-ring debut on next week’s episode of Dynamite.

This was something that was teased on this past Wednesday’s episode but was confirmed on Saturday by Cody Rhodes on Twitter.

Jake Roberts cut a promo on this week’s show about he and Archer’s desire to face Rhodes, which is something that AEW is building towards. As of this writing, there’s no word yet on who Archer’s opponent will be but AEW has been using local wrestlers due to the outbreak of the coronavirus the past two weeks so that’s a possibility.

Rhodes wrote the following:

“I appreciate Lance & his skillset. AEW is glad to have him. I’m not interested in social media angles though. He will debut this week, but not against me. He has zero record with AEW, me wrestling him does a disservice to others climbing into the Top-5. Maybe down the road.”

Archer was slated to make his debut earlier this month after he inked a multi-year deal with AEW. However, things changed and his debut was delayed until he came out with Roberts as his new project.

Archer’s debut is the only official for Dynamite next week, which will be held from the empty Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, FL.
