Latest on AEW star testing positive for COVID-19

Diamond Dallas Page revealed earlier this week that AEW star QT Marshall had tested positive for COVID-19.

This reveal explained the absence of the AEW star over the last few weeks from Dynamite TV tapings. Last month, Marshall was pulled from his scheduled tag team match alongside Dustin Rhodes against FTR on an episode of Dynamite.

AEW President Tony Khan had noted at the time that Marshall had brief contact with a non-wrestling acquaintance who had since tested positive for COVID-19. There wasn’t any update on his status up until the comments made by DDP.

Dave Meltzer noted on today’s episode of Wrestling Observer Radio that Marshall’s most recent COVID-19 test hadn’t returned in time for Dynamite this week. However, he’s on track of being cleared of the virus.

As noted, Marshall took two other tests for the virus and received a positive test. He first tested negative for it, but the second test showed that he had the virus.

It should be noted that he was feeling better when he tested positive for the virus. Melzer mentioned how Marshall’s wife has the virus and was in pretty rough shape at one point.

Although Marshall is no longer showing symptoms pertaining to COVID-19, there’s no word yet on when he’ll be back on television.
