Chris Jericho paid a bit of a price in the finish of the Blood and Guts match.
The Inner Circle (Jericho, Jake Hager, Sammy Guevara, Santana, and Ortiz) lost to The Pinnacle (MJF, FTR, Wardlow, and Shawn Spears) in the match. Jericho was tossed off the top of the structure after the match.
Fans picked up on Jericho wearing a brace on his arm during a segment with The Inner Circle and The Pinnacle on Wednesday’s Dynamite, but since no injuries were reported after the match, most fans thought he was just selling the bump.
It turns out that is not the case as on Thursday it was revealed Jericho suffered a legitimate left elbow injury during the fall. Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Jericho suffered a dislocated elbow in the fall.
This comes at a time where there are only a few weeks until the AEW Double or Nothing pay-per-view where the Pinnacle is set to face the Inner Circle in a Stadium Stampede match.
Meltzer added, “I presume he’s working Stadium Stampede based on the television angle but otherwise he’s out four to six weeks.”
Jericho talked about the Blood and Guts match during a recent edition of his podcast, Talk is Jericho, as well as the fan criticism of the finish.
