As announced on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, a stipulation has been added to one of the big matches at the Full Gear pay-per-view.
Jon Moxley vs. Kenny Omega will be a Lights Out Match. Essentially, the match will not be sanctioned and the match will not count towards their win/loss record.
During this week’s episode of Dynamite, Moxley cut an in-ring promo and talked about what he would do to Omega. Moxley promised that there will blood and wrestling violence like the fans haven’t seen in a long time.
At the start of Dynamite, a camera was able to pick up audio of Moxley in Tony Khan’s office. Khan said he decided on not sanctioning their match because of when Moxley put Omega through a glass table a few weeks ago. Moxley said Khan would be responsible for what happens to Omega at the pay-per-view.
Previous Lights Out matches have taken place “after” the pay-per-view has concluded. After the main event, the lights would go out and then they would come back on and the ring announcer would tell the fans that the following match is not sanctioned by the company.
AEW Full Gear will take place on Saturday, November 9 at the Royal Farms Arena in Baltimore, MD.
