They had previously filed for the “Tuesday Night Dynamite” trademark but that night is problematic because they would face pre-emptions from NBA basketball games.
At this point, it’s looking very likely that Wednesday night will be when the show airs and Dave Meltzer is reporting that October 2nd appears to be the start date. That would be just 2 days before SmackDown moves to FOX. As noted earlier, there are big changes coming to SmackDown when the show moves from the USA Network. Meltzer noted that there are meetings going on with people in AEW and TNT about the TV show, battle strategies, and different ideas. Meltzer also noted that 8-10 pm is currently the most likely time slot.
My guess is that the company will have an official announcement about the weekly show by AEW All Out in Chicago. It will be interesting to see what WWE will have up their sleeve for counter-programming. Wednesday Night Dynamite would go head-to-head with one hour of NXT on the WWE Network.
