Lola Vice Opens Up About Past Eating Disorder and Finding Balance in WWE

NXT star Lola Vice recently opened up about her personal struggles prior to joining WWE, including a battle with an eating disorder developed during her MMA career. In a candid conversation on Busted Open Radio, she explained how her time in WWE has allowed her to find a sense of balance and happiness she previously lacked.

When host Bully Ray asked what had changed most about her in the last three years, Vice responded, “I think I’ve matured a lot being here in the WWE and, you know, I grew up fighting my whole life, and this is the first time that I’m happy and I’m able to completely be myself, and I truly love what I do now.”

She clarified that while she was happy before, her life lacked equilibrium. “I just didn’t have balance. And I think being here in the WWE, it taught me balance that I didn’t have before,” she said. This new environment helped her confront a serious issue from her past. “I had to do a lot of work on myself, and, you know, fighting my whole life, I went through challenges, but one of the biggest one is that I had an eating disorder from cutting weight for so many years, and when I got here, I kind of like that changed, and I was able to better my health and better my mental health in every aspect.”

This personal growth has been a key theme for her recently. “I feel like this year, more than anything, I’ve really found that peace and balance in my life, and I’m happy every day, and I’m confident in myself, and I believe in myself more than ever,” Vice stated.

She credits this newfound maturity and focus on her mental health as the key to her current success and positive outlook. “Three years ago, I was a completely different person. I didn’t think the same way,” she explained. “I’ve realized that if my mental health isn’t happy and good, then I can’t perform to the best of my ability.”

Bringing her renewed focus and confidence to the ring, Vice continues to be a major player in NXT. Her recent high-profile matches include a tag team victory at the Worlds Collide event and a competitive singles match against Jordynne Grace on the June 17th episode of NXT.
