Long Absence Of AEW Star Explained

AEW has been without several of its stars due to injury, but recently got one star back.

That star is Jamie Hayter, who returned at All In when she interrupted a segment with Saraya and the rest of the Knight Family in the ring. Hayter had been out of action for over a year.

The former AEW Women’s World Champion took out Saraya’s mother after being attacked. Hayter stood tall in the ring as Saraya escaped to end the segment.

Days later, Hayter returned to in-ring action on the All Out fallout edition of Dynamite. She went over Harley Cameron in a singles match. While away, the injury was kept close to the chest with some thinking it was a serious shoulder injury.

While doing a recent interview with Renee Paquette, Hayter revealed she had two seriously herniated discs in her back. She admitted she didn’t know about the injury until she could barely walk, stand, or even lay down.

Hayter thought it was a sciatica at first and admitted she questioned whether she could ever return to in-ring action.
