Matt Hardy had high praise for his former AEW tag team partner, Ethan Page, and Page’s new partnership with Chelsea Green in NXT. On The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy, Hardy called the pair “extremely entertaining” and “really, really effective sports entertainers”.
Hardy focused on Page’s potential, expressing that he was not properly utilized during their time together in AEW. “I wasn’t overly familiar, familiar with Ethan page’s work until I worked with an AW, and then, like once I got to know him, and saw kind of how his mind worked and and the way his mind ticked, really became a huge fan of his and it’s just a shame nothing happened with him in AEW, because he had, he has everything it takes to become a big star,” Hardy said.
Hardy predicted success for Page’s future on the main roster. “And I think he’s doing great at NXT. I think he’s going to be to the main roster before too long. I think he’s going to do great there as well, like he really gets the entertainment aspect of pro wrestling. He’s really good at, and on top of that, he’s quite athletic, and he’s a really, really hard worker and disciplined guy, especially with his diet and his body and everything else now, just a good human being all the way around. Man, I have nothing but great things to say about Ethan Page”.
Ethan Page is currently the NXT North American Champion.
