Since making his promotional debut with All Elite Wrestling earlier this week, Matt Hardy has been very vocal about the latest decision in his successful pro wrestling career.
When his contract with WWE expired on March 1st, he took the time to look over his options. He had talks with the likes of WWE, AEW, NWA, ROH and more. He eventually made the call to sign with AEW.
We noted earlier on the site that he thinks he would have had much better opportunities in WWE if Triple H had been solely in power.
Hardy responded on Twitter to a fan who thought Hardy could’ve moved to WWE NXT instead of signing with AEW while keeping full control of his character on television.
Hardy wrote, “I appreciate your passion, but it’s ultimately the same boss. My creative input is unquestionably greater at AEW. If you had to choose between 2 jobs, would you take less money for more days away? Or more money for less days away? I make smart choices for my family & legacy.”
With the Blood and Guts Match being postponed, next week’s episode of AEW Dynamite is likely to be headlined by Chris Jericho going one-on-one with Hardy.
