Several readers have pointed out that Max Caster has removed AEW references from his Twitter bio. That has caused some to speculate about his future with the company.
As it was noted earlier, Caster was advertised for tonight’s AEW Dark but he is no longer being referenced for tonight’s show and it appears that his match that was taped last week will not air tonight.
Fightful reports that Caster is still with AEW but is currently “on ice” for now.
Last week on Busted Open Radio, Tony Khan condemned Caster’s rap on last week’s AEW Dark. Caster rapped about Simone Biles, the Duke Lacrosse rape scandal and he included a sexual joke about Julia Hart. Caster has been rapping about Hart for weeks as part of the build for a feud between The Acclaimed and The Varsity Blondes.
Khan told Busted Open that he was not in the “go” position backstage and did not hear Caster’s rap until it aired last week. He added that it should have never aired and he will now be handling the editing of the Dark shows.
Caster, along with Anthony Bowens, is one of the most popular up-and-coming wrestlers on the roster. He has not commented on the situation.
