Mercedes Mone Sets New Record In AEW

Mercedes Mone has achieved another major milestone in her career, becoming the longest-reigning AEW TBS Champion in the title’s history. She has officially surpassed the inaugural champion Jade Cargill’s record-setting reign.

A Record-Setting Reign

Mone has now held the AEW TBS Championship for 509 days, passing Jade Cargill’s previous record of 508 days. During her historic reign as the first-ever champion, Cargill successfully defended the title 25 times. To date, Mone has made 22 successful title defenses against a wide array of top competitors from AEW and beyond. Her list of defeated challengers includes Kris Statlander, Skye Blue, Hikaru Shida, Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D., Mina Shirakawa, Nyla Rose, and Riho, among others.

A Collection of Gold

The AEW TBS Championship is just one of ten physical championship titles currently held by Mercedes Mone. Her impressive collection of gold includes the CMLL World Women’s Championship, the RevPro Undisputed British Women’s Championship, the Queen of Southside Championship (which was merged with the RevPro title), the Discovery Wrestling Scottish Women’s Championship, the EWA Women’s Championship from Austria, the PTW Women’s Championship from Poland, the BestYa Women’s Championship from Italy, the Bodyslam Women’s Championship from Denmark, and the 2025 Owen Hart Foundation Championship tournament trophy.

On August 24 at Forbidden Door, Mone successfully defended the TBS Championship in a four-way match against Alex Windsor, Bozilla, and Persephone while at All Out on September 20, Mone defeated Riho to retain the TBS Championship. She doesn’t have a match lined up for WrestleDream this weekend.
