Mercedes Mone Teases Imminent AEW Return: ‘Mama Is Gonna Return Home’

Mercedes Mone has seemingly announced that her return to AEW is imminent, confirming the comeback will follow the completion of her current European tour. Speaking on IL61, Mone addressed her AEW return directly.

“I’m returning really, really soon,” Mone said. “Right now, I am on my Mone Madness Tour all over Europe. First it started in Mexico, now here in Italy, next stop is Paris, then London, then Poland, then Winnipeg. After that, Mama is gonna return home.”

The timing of Mone’s comments points to a specific window for her AEW comeback. She is scheduled to defend the WPW Women’s Championship at WPW Fight at the Museum in Winnipeg on March 31. AEW Dynamite will be in Winnipeg the following night on April 1, making that episode the most likely landing spot for her return to AEW television.

Mone has been off AEW programming since losing the TBS Championship to Willow Nightingale at AEW Dynamite New Year’s Smash. She appeared in a vignette on the January 10 episode of Collision, warning that when she returned, she would be taking more than just titles. In the months since, she has been competing for various independent promotions across Mexico and Europe as part of her self-described Mone Madness Tour.

Mone currently holds six physical championships, including the Discovery Wrestling Scottish Women’s Championship, the PTW Women’s Championship in Poland, the Bodyslam Women’s Championship in Denmark, the WPW Women’s Championship in Canada, the APAC Women’s Championship in Malaysia, and the 2025 Owen Hart Foundation Championship.

AEW has not officially announced Mone’s return.
