Mercedes Mone To Work Double Title Match At NJPW x AEW Wrestle Dynasty

A match involving Mercedes Mone has been announced for the Wrestle Dynasty event at the Tokyo Dome on January 5, where wrestlers from NJPW, AEW, Stardom, CMLL, and ROH will be featured.

Mone successfully defended the NJPW Strong Women’s Title against Hazuki in the main event of Strong Style Evolved on Sunday. Following the bout, Mina Shirakawa said she wanted Mone at Wrestle Dynasty. Mone agreed but demanded that Mina put up her RevPro Undisputed British Women’s Championship on the line as well.

Mina was on AEW TV last week, putting over Women’s Champion Mariah May. For Mone, she is scheduled to defend the TBS Championship against Anna Jay on this week’s AEW Holiday Bash edition of Dynamite.

The event will feature Kenny Omega making his in-ring return against Gabe Kidd, which could be the main event. Also on the card are The Young Bucks in an NJPW Tag Team Title match, Claudio Castagnoli vs. Shota Umino, AEW TBS and NJPW Strong Women’s Champion Mercedes Mone in action, Zack Sabre Jr. vs. Ricochet, and Yota Tsuji vs. Jack Perry.
