“Speedball” Mike Bailey is now All Elite after his TNA Wrestling contract expired at the end of the year. His final appearance was in late October.
He couldn’t sign with anyone until January 1st. Both AEW and WWE showed interest in signing him. His AEW debut had been delayed due to visa processing.
While speaking with Bleacher Report, Bailey explained his decision to sign with AEW after working in TNA Wrestling.
“It was time for me to step up and make it to the big leagues, and AEW is where the best wrestle. In my opinion, it’s where I belong. Right now, AEW is my focus. It’s where I want to be, it’s where I want to wrestle, but wrestling for New Japan and CMLL and going to those places to represent AEW would be a huge honor.”
Bailey vs. Orange Cassidy vs. Mark Davis vs. Ricochet in an AEW International title eliminator four-way match will happen on tonight’s Dynamite.
