Miro Books His First Post-AEW Appearance

Miro was granted his release from AEW a week ago, freeing him to sign with any promotion. Now, he has booked his first appearance as a free agent.

Despite being healthy and ready to compete, creative had been discussed for him throughout 2024 before things went radio silent, according to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select. However, Fightful reported that the situation had gone “radio silent” for some time before the release.

Sources within AEW indicated that Miro hadn’t been discussed creatively for six months, with most believing he wouldn’t return to the company. WWE is believed to be interested in bringing back Miro, who previously worked there before joining AEW in 2020.

As Dave Meltzer previously reported, WWE has discussed creative for Miro. However, it’s unclear when he will return or if he has signed a contract yet.

Qatar Pro Wrestling has announced that Miro will make his first post-AEW appearance at their events on February 21st and 22nd at Aspire Ladies Sport Hall in Doha, Qatar. Mustafa Ali, Nic Nemeth, Bobby Lashley and 35 other wrestlers are advertised for the show that will also feature matches.
