Miro And Ricky Starks Are Gone From AEW

Update: Several outlets have confirmed that Starks is also gone from AEW.

Original: Hours after it was revealed that AEW removed Malakai Black from its roster page, an indication that the star is no longer with the promotion and later confirmed that he is a free agent, Ricky Starks and Miro also have been removed.

PWInsider.com reports that they were told that Miro and AEW mutually agreed on his exit from the company. As of this writing, whether the company has released Starks has yet to be confirmed.

Ibou of WrestlePurists previously reported and confirmed by Fightful that Starks has asked for his AEW release in the past, but AEW CEO Tony Khan won’t grant him the release. Starks has been absent from AEW programming since March 2024 and has stated he doesn’t know why he isn’t being used.

Miro reportedly requested his release from AEW after being away since Worlds End 2023. There had been conversations for him in AEW matches since then, but the two sides had not agreed on anything creatively.

Starks is believed to have interest from WWE once he is free and clear of his AEW deal.
