Miro has returned to in-ring action just a few weeks after he was granted his release from AEW.
Although he was healthy and ready to compete, creative had been discussed for him throughout 2024 before things went radio silent, according to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select. However, Fightful reported that the situation had gone “radio silent” for some time before the release.
Sources within AEW indicated that Miro hadn’t been discussed creatively for six months, with most believing he wouldn’t return to the company. WWE is believed to be interested in bringing back Miro, who previously worked there before joining AEW in 2020.
As Dave Meltzer previously reported, WWE has discussed creative for Miro. It’s unclear when he will return or if he has signed a contract yet.
Miro made his return to the ring on February 22nd at a Qatar Pro Wrestling event in Doha, Qatar. He faced AAA Mega Champion Alberto Del Río.
