MJF Segment Announced For AEW Dynamite

AEW World Champion MJF is officially set to appear on the January 7, 2026, episode of Dynamite in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The company confirmed on Sunday that the champion will be present to hype his upcoming title defense against Bandido, which is scheduled for the following week on January 14.

“What will MJF say after being confronted by Hangman, Kenny Omega, Swerve, Samoa Joe & Brodido? MJF defends the title vs @BandidoWrestler NEXT WEEK, 1/14!” AEW wrote in a social media announcement.

MJF opened last week’s show gloating about his championship victory at Worlds End, only to be interrupted by a parade of potential challengers. Kenny Omega appeared on screen to warn MJF that they would eventually meet for the title, despite acknowledging he might have to work his way back up the rankings. Hangman Page, Swerve Strickland, and former champion Samoa Joe also made appearances, signaling a crowded field of contenders gunning for the gold.

In addition to MJF’s appearance, the card for Dynamite in Tulsa features several high-profile matches. A “Lights Out” match will see The Opps (Hook & Powerhouse Hobbs) take on the team of Hangman Adam Page and Swerve Strickland. AEW Continental Champion Jon Moxley will face Shelton Benjamin in a title eliminator match. The ROH World Championship will also be on the line as Bandido defends against Sammy Guevara.

Here is the updated lineup for AEW Dynamite on January 7, 2026:

  • Lights Out Match: The Opps (Hook & Powerhouse Hobbs) vs. Hangman Adam Page & Swerve Strickland
  • AEW Continental Championship Eliminator Match: Jon Moxley vs. Shelton Benjamin
