MJF is set to make a return to the independent circuit in January 2026, appearing for Limitless Wrestling—the promotion where he was crowned the inaugural World Champion. The “Salt of the Earth” has been announced for the Limitless Rumble event on Friday, January 16, at The Colisée in Lewiston, Maine.
The event takes place at a historic venue that hosted the 1965 rematch between Muhammad Ali and Sonny Liston. While it has not been confirmed whether MJF will be wrestling, he is scheduled for a ticketed VIP meet-and-greet prior to the show.
This appearance comes just over a week before MJF challenges for the AEW World Championship at Worlds End. MJF has a history with Limitless Wrestling, having won their first-ever World Title in March 2019 before dropping it later that year as he transitioned to AEW full-time.
The card will also feature AEW star Eddie Kingston, marking his first appearance for the promotion since 2018, as well as a WWE ID Women’s Title match between Laynie Luck and B3CCA.
