MJF to speak on tonight’s AEW Dynamite

Tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite just got a little bit more interesting as the promotion has confirmed that MJF will appear on the show for an interview segment.

MJF no-showed a fan fest on Saturday before losing quickly in a squash match to Wardlow at Sunday’s Double Or Nothing event. After the match, it looked like AEW was writing him off television as they did a stretcher angle. He reportedly left the venue right after the match.

As previously reported, MJF is supposed to have a sit-down meeting with AEW President Tony Khan this week and was spotted flying into LAX on Tuesday.

There have been some issues between MJF and Khan, dating back to April when Khan was upset that MJF did an interview with Ariel Helwani that wasn’t cleared by AEW PR. MJF is not willing to sign a new deal right now as his current contract expires on January 1, 2024, and there will be a bidding war for his services between AEW and WWE.

Although MJF reportedly received a raise in January, he is making less than some mid-carders. If he does go to WWE, the company is reportedly willing to offer top money for MJF. Here is the rest of the card for Dynamite:

Darby Allin, Jungle Boy, Luchasaurus, Matt Hardy, and Christian Cage vs. Hikuleo, Bobby Fish, Kyle O’Reilly, and The Young Bucks

Britt Baker & Jamie Hayter vs. Ruby Soho & Toni Storm

Jon Moxley vs. Daniel Garcia

CM Punk and FTR vs. Max Caster and The Gunn Club
