MJF’s cameo on WWE NXT was referenced on AEW Dynamite

Fans have picked up on a slight reference to a cameo appearance on WWE NXT years ago involving MJF in which he replicated during Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite.

Over the years and even to this day, WWE is in need of extras for various roles. Most of the time they get independent wrestlers to fill these roles. It turns out that MJF was used in a role that was quite funny.

Back in 2016 at the NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn II, he was used as a security guard in a backstage segment with then-NXT Champion Samoa Joe, who defended the championship against Shinsuke Nakamura that night.

In the brief segment, MJF was supposed to walk along with Joe and the other guards, but started to move ahead of Joe. This led to Joe pushing him back as a way to tell him to get back in line.

Well, fast forward to Dynamite, MJF did the same thing to Lee Johnson, who has been a regular jobber on AEW Dark.

MJF is slated to challenge Jon Moxley for the AEW World Heavyweight Title at the upcoming All Out pay-per-view event next month.
