New AEW Tag Team Name Revealed

AEW is currently seeing a tournament take place to crown the company’s first-ever Women’s Tag Team Champions. Eight teams started the tournament, but one was forced to find a substitute due to injury. That situation saw the Death Riders’ resident ‘Problem’ enter the fray as Marina Shafir joined forces with Megan Bayne.

Bayne and Shafir advanced to the quarterfinals of the tournament at the expense of Anna Jay and Tay Melo and have looked like a solid unit. They led their squad to victory in Blood & Guts, with Shafir locking Mina Shirakawa in ‘Mother’s Milk’ while Bayne whipped the Japanese star with a title belt, causing Toni Storm to surrender the match.

Storm and Shirakawa won a four-way match at Full Gear featuring all the semi-finalists, thereby earning the right to pick the stipulation for their semi-final bout. Storm demanded a death match with Bayne and Shafir that will take place on the December 3 edition of Dynamite.

Now, on social media, Tony Khan has promoted his upcoming show in his trademark fashion and appears to have given Bayne and Shafir a new team name, referring to them as the ‘MegaProblems’.

“Thank you all who watch AEW! #AEWDynamite C2 Blue League @ClaudioCSRO vs @JonMoxley Gold League @rainmakerXokada vs @BASTARDPAC + @kylefletcherpro vs @Jet2Flyy Women’s World Tag Team Title Semifinal Hardcore Holiday Death Match Timeless Love Bombs vs MegaProblems THIS WEDNESDAY!”

As Khan noted, three matches will also take place on Dynamite in the Continental Classic. Kyle Fletcher meets Kevin Knight, Kazuchika Okada faces PAC, and in a battle of the Death Riders, Jon Moxley goes one-on-one with Claudio Castagnoli.
