Based on a recent trademark filing from September 12, it looks like AEW will be keeping the Dynamite name for their weekly TNT show.
The recent trademark filing is for “All Elite Wrestling: Dynamite.” Their previous filings were for “Tuesday Night Dynamite” and “Wednesday Night Dynamite.” The “Tuesday Night Dynamite” name was filed when it was not certain which not of the week the show would air.
The information sent out to the cable companies simply list the show as “All Elite Wrestling” but Tony Khan said that he did not want the name of the show to just be the name of the company.
At this point, it looks like “All Elite Wrestling: Dynamite” will be the name of the show. I would expect an announcement on the name of the show soon since the debut episode is just a couple of weeks away.
The debut episode on TNT will feature the following:
- Cody Rhodes vs. Sammy Guevara
- The Young Bucks vs. Chris Jericho and two mystery partners
- Jon Moxley will appear
- Nyla Rose vs. Riho to crown the first AEW Women’s World Champion
- MJF vs. Brandon Cutler
