News on filming process of Parking Lot Fight on AEW Dynamite

In the main event of Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite on TNT, Best Friends (Chuck Taylor & Trent) took on The Inner Circle (Ortiz & Santana) in a Parking Lot Fight.

This was a wild match with various weapons and cars being used. Trent took some damage as he was powerbombed on the roof of a car before being tossed onto the windshield, which saw him have glass in his back and thus caused him to bleed.

In the end, Best Friends went over in the contest thanks to interference by Orange Cassidy. The three stars left the parking lot in a van that was driven by Trent’s mom and she flipped off the heels to close out the show.

Jim Ross noted on commentary that this was the best Parking Lot Brawl that he’s ever seen.

AEW President Tony Khan mentioned on Twitter that they filmed this match in one shot, which is pretty impressive, with the only change to it was to bleep out an F-bomb. Dave Meltzer mentioned on today’s episode of Wrestling Observer Radio that AEW filmed this match last Thursday in Jacksonville.

Khan wrote, “It was all shot at once in one take. No edits other than dropping the audio on the F word. One amazing take.”
