Jake Hager could have his first match in AEW soon.
Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that a match between Hager and Luchasaurus has been discussed for AEW Revolution. Whether this match actually gets booked remains to be seen.
Hager and Luchasaurus have interacted a few times on Dynamite where they usually get into brawls.
Hager made his promotional debut last October where he was paired with Chris Jericho with the idea of Hager being his bodyguard.
Shortly after his debut, it was reported that Hager has an agreement with Bellator MMA that he wouldn’t wrestle until after his next pro-MMA fight.
That fight has passed as he fought Anthony Garrett at Bellator 231 on October 25 at the Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, CT. The fight ended in a no contest. As of this writing, his next MMA fight hasn’t been announced.
AEW holds the Revolution pay-per-view event on Saturday, February 29, 2020 in Chicago, IL from the Sears Center.
