Nick Jackson Addresses Controversial Unprotected Chair Shot In AEW Blood & Guts Match

Fans are still talking about the Blood & Guts Match on Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite from Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee, when Team AEW (Swerve Strickland, Mark Briscoe, Darby Allin, and The Acclaimed) faced off with The Elite (The Young Bucks, Kazuchika Okada, Jack Perry, and Hangman Page).

During it, Perry was handcuffed to the cage and took an unprotected chair shot to the head from Briscoe. The faces went over in the bout.

As previously reported by Bryan Alvarez, they used a gimmick chair. In a recent interview with Sports Illustrated’s Justin Barrasso, Nick Jackson spoke about the spot.

“All I know is Jack is fine, and that’s all that matters, we know the risk we’re taking in the ring and it wouldn’t have happened if he wasn’t prepared for it.”
