Nick Jackson defended Kenny Omega’s choice of signing with AEW (All Elite Wrestling) over WWE in a recent interaction with a fanĀ on social media. The former IWGP Heavyweight Champion made the news official during the Double Or Nothing ticket announcement party that was held Thursday, February 7th from the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.
His contract with NJPW (New Japan Pro Wrestling) expired last month and was set to be a free agent. He will also serve as an Executive Vice President.Ā It all started when Nick welcomed Omega to the newly launched promotion when he wrote the following on his official Twitter account:
āWe couldnāt start AEW without this man. Matt, myself, and Kenny have been trying to change wrestling for the better since 2015 when we formed The Elite. Now is the time and we couldnāt be more excited for the challenge.ā

This led to a fan questioning how much of a challenge AEW would be for Omega. Nick fired back with his response to the fan with, āOf course itās a challenge you ignorant human being. Weāre trying to give Wrestling itās first true alternative in 2 decades. The easy way out was become a millionaire and go to the wwe.ā
