It turns out that Nick Jackson wrestled in the main event of Dynamite with the flu.
The Young Bucks defeated Santana and Ortiz in a street fight in Garland, TX at the Curtis Culwell Center on TNT. Although fans couldn’t notice it by watching him wrestling, Nick worked the match while battling the flu.
Nick’s brother, Matt, took to his official Twitter account where he noted that his brother was sick that day but powered through the illness. Matt wrote the following:
“Nick laid on the floor in our locker room all day, suffering a terrible flu, then popped up & put in that gutsy performance tonight,” Matt tweeted. “He won’t say it, so I’ll do it for him. Proud he’s my brother & tag team partner.”
With this win, the Young Bucks will challenge SCU for the AEW Tag Team Titles next week.
AEW has stacked the card for next week’s show in Corpus Christi, TX at the American Bank Center. You can see the lineup here.
