Nigel McGuinness Returned To The Ring At AEW All In

Nigel McGuinness has returned to in-ring action.

The AEW announcer appeared in the Casino Gauntlet Match that had the stipulation of the winner could cash in for a World title match at anytime at the AEW All In: London 2024 pay-per-view event from Wembley Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Nigel was a top star for ROH for years before he went to TNA Wrestling and ultimately decided to retire from in-ring action.

For those who don’t know, McGuinness was offered a WWE deal in September 2006 to wrestle, but the deal was pulled after he didn’t disclose a previous biceps injury during a medical pre-screening. His doctor thought the injury was healed and he was good enough to wrestle.WWE’s doctors instructed Nigel to undergo surgery to repair the old injury.

The beloved wrestler couldn’t afford the surgery and he declined to do so. WWE pulled the offer. After his TNA run, he felt he had few options left after this and decided to retire instead.

He had not wrestled in a sanctioned match since 2011. Nigel previously said a match with Bryan Danielson would get him out of retirement. All In did it as well.
