In what may be the best women’s wrestling match in AEW history, Nyla Rose defeated Riho to become the AEW Women’s Champion.
The match started slow and picked up over time. There were tons of near falls and the crowd was into everything. There was a Riho chant after one of her kick outs.
Rose is the second-ever AEW Women’s Championship. It looks like AEW is taking steps to address the critics who say their women’s division needs work.
During the picture-in-picture commercial break, Rose could be seen trash-talking Kenny Omega in the backstage area. She also had words to say to other wrestlers who were in the area.
