Original Plans For AEW All In: Texas Match

A planned trios match for this Saturday’s AEW All In Texas event has been altered due to an injury to a top star. NJPW star Gabe Kidd will be stepping in to replace the injured PAC.

Gabe Kidd Replaces Injured PAC At All In

Fightful Select reports that the original plan for All In was a trios match pitting a team known as The Opps against the Death Riders. PAC was scheduled to be a part of the Death Riders faction for the match, but he is currently sidelined with an injury and is unable to compete. The report confirms that Kidd was chosen as his replacement last week and is now officially slated for the pay-per-view match.

Death Riders To Collide With The Elite

The Death Riders faction is comprised of members of the Blackpool Combat Club, while “The Opps” refers to their heated rivals, The Elite. With PAC out, the Death Riders needed to find a third member with the same intensity to match up against The Young Bucks and their partners. Gabe Kidd, known for his hard-hitting style in NJPW and his affiliation with the Bullet Club War Dogs, fits the bill.

Gabe Kidd made his return to AEW on the July 9 episode of Dynamite. During a post-match brawl following the eight-man tag team main event, Kidd appeared from the crowd to help Jon Moxley and Claudio Castagnoli fight off The Young Bucks and Kazuchika Okada. The show ended with Kidd standing tall alongside the BCC, solidifying their alliance ahead of All In.
