Will Ospreay Wants To Break World Record At AEW Forbidden Door

AEW star Will Ospreay has issued a unique and ambitious challenge to the fans attending the upcoming Forbidden Door pay-per-view in his home country of England: he wants them to help him break a Guinness World Record.

Will Ospreay’s World Record Attempt

In a post on his social media on Saturday morning, Ospreay brought up the current world record for the loudest indoor arena crowd. The current record is 130.4 decibels, set by the crowd at a Kansas Jayhawks basketball game in 2017. Ospreay has set the goal of breaking that record with the London crowd at The O2 Arena on August 24.

The Forbidden Door Main Event

“The Aerial Assassin” will be competing in the main event of the massive crossover show, a match that is sure to generate a deafening reaction from his hometown crowd. He will be part of a super team consisting of himself, Kenny Omega, Kota Ibushi, Darby Allin, and Hiroshi Tanahashi.

Their opponents in the 10-man Lights Out Steel Cage match will be the group of the Death Riders (Jon Moxley and Claudio Castagnoli), The Young Bucks, and NJPW’s Gabe Kidd. The show’s other main event will see “Hangman” Adam Page defend the AEW World Championship against MJF.

The current record of 130.4 decibels was set in an arena with a capacity of around 16,000 people. With over 16,000 tickets already distributed for Forbidden Door at The O2 Arena, it could give them a realistic chance of breaking the record.
