PHOTO: Swerve Strickland Spotted Training With Recently Departed WWE Star

A former WWE name who recently left the company has been spotted training with a top AEW star. Edris Enofé, who confirmed his departure from WWE after a four-year tenure in NXT, was seen in a photo with Swerve Strickland.

Enofé’s last match for WWE took place on Evolve in September. Strickland shared a training photo on Twitter this past week, showcasing his physique alongside several other wrestlers, including Enofé. Strickland recently returned to AEW screens at the Full Gear Premium Live Event this past Saturday.

Comments on the post highlighted Strickland’s physical condition, with ROH star Cheeseburger noting he looked “Jacked AF.” Strickland replied to the comment, stating he “Ate a lot of 🍔”. While Enofé is no longer with WWE, his former tag team partner, Malik Blade, recently returned to action at an NXT Live house show after being sidelined with an ACL injury since October 2024. Blade lost to Cyril Coquerelle in his return bout.

Strickland’s return at Full Gear marked his first appearance since taking time off. He is expected to feud with AEW World Champion Samoa Joe to close out the year.  Since his departure, Enofé has not yet announced his next official booking, but training with a high-profile name like Strickland suggests he is preparing for his next move in the industry. Strickland is currently slated to appear on the upcoming December 3 edition of AEW Dynamite.
