Tony Khan addressed the status of QT Marshall during the AEW media scrum on Sunday night after a scary fall during the Buy In.
The apparent injury occurred during the Boom and Doom and The Conglomeration vs Shane Taylor Promotions 10-man tag match on the Buy In preshow. Marshall slipped off the top rope during a Tower of Doom spot and landed badly outside the ring, requiring backstage assistance. The fall produced a visible reaction from the crowd and was one of the most-discussed moments of the preshow on social media.
QT Marshall had to be helped to the back after the rough landing he had from the top of the turnbuckle, hoping it’s nothing too serious 🙏🏿 #AEW #AEWDoN pic.twitter.com/BqDSiPcAHX

Khan addressed Marshall’s status during the post-show media scrum.
“QT’s gonna be okay. Thanks for asking.”
On Mick Foley, Khan went deeper than his earlier in-week as he confirmed Foley’s formal AEW signing alongside Renee Paquette as the ongoing pre-show pairing.
“It was great to have Mick Foley come into AEW and be a part of the show now hosting with Renee, somebody who’s a true icon of wrestling and certainly in Philadelphia, one of the great icons of wrestling.”
Khan also framed his approach to pairing wrestlers with broadcast partners and confirmed Foley and Paquette’s long-term collaboration.
“Well, let me tell you, Renee, something I take pride in is pairing up great pairs, whether it’s Sting and Darby Allin or so many other great ones along the way. And I think a great team is going to be you and Mick. Yeah. And I’m really excited about it. You got off to a great start hosting the show tonight with Mick and I’m excited that you’re both going to be here doing it for a long time to come. Obviously he got into a bit of an altercation before the show started, but all in all, I think it was one of the best nights in the history of the company.”
Foley’s official signing was announced shortly before the pay-per-view, with the AEW Buy In role formally announced as part of an extended creative deal rather than as a one-off booking. Foley’s WWE Legends deal expires in June 2026, with the AEW Buy In role having begun before the formal end of his WWE arrangement. Foley last wrestled in 2012.
